So this'll be my first new SF story for 6 years. The book is provisionally codenamed 'Time' as I discovered my first choice titles, 'Out of Time' and 'Killing Time,' had both been used before - and often - so I'll wait and pick a catchier title later.
It's good to feel the buzz again. After Resonance, I'd played with a few ideas for a totally new SF story but none of them had that spark that shouts 'this is the one!'
Until now. And it's just what I'd been looking for. Something that's never been done before, that keeps the reader guessing and that, when everything is revealed, makes perfect sense. Yay! Now all I've got to do is find 100,000 willing words and arrange them in an order that matches up to the promise of the idea.
So, I'm outlining away like mad - tweaking and twisty-plotting - in between catching up with the late winter gardening projects (rotovating, tree planting/transplanting, mucking, pruning and building a greenhouse etc)
